What we do

We never forget who our Client is. Our proud boast is that your voice is your security key – if we don’t recognise your voice, we have too many Clients!

In a world where with a simple search on Google for ‘pensions’ will provide you with over 15 million results, and ‘Investments’ over 65 million,  it is clear that simply factual information is of little value anymore. Wisdom, hard won through experience and deep technical ability, is key. And that’s what we do.

We understand our value is in the provision of technically accurate planning and advice which is tailored specifically towards you and what you wish to achieve.

We understand that for many Clients, they are speaking to us at a point of great stress, perhaps involving the loss of a loved one, the uncertainty of retirement or the sale of a business.

We have been here before.

Our role is to help you through, to chart a journey that is right for you.  Our role is to clarify, simplify, explain and manage the journey through the complexities of ‘The Money World’, to help you to a point where you are back in control and confident.

How do we do what we do?

We follow the classic Financial Planning process – we find it works for our clients

  1. Initially we will meet you – at our expense –  and explore what your concerns, goals and objectives are, and mutually decide if working together is right for both of us. Often our work is not just about setting financial goals but looking at what are the most important things in your life. What would you like to achieve? When? With who?
  2. The next step is to find out where you are now, getting a full picture of you financial position. Many Clients enjoy this part of the process, finding it very enlightening!
  3. We will then gather all this together, and analyse and research what the best options may be for you.
  4. We will then get together and work through our recommendations. What is the priority? What should we focus on?
    • Could you run out of money?
    • Are you paying too much in charges?
    • Is the family Trust facing hard choices between beneficiaries?
    • Are you taking too much risk?
    • Is your family safe if the worst should happen?
  5. From there we will get on with the job, putting things in place, and managing a way through the process
  6. Once things are in place, it’s important to understand that life has a habit of changing, and so our regular communications and reviews with you are vital to ensure that things stay on track, and that everything continues to work for you

As a result of this process we will be able to provide you with a clear and comprehensive Financial Plan which will map out the journey and signpost the milestones.
